Solution? Take a Bink codec file from another game and replace the codec in the Deadlight files. When I first played this, I learned the PC version has a very bad flaw: the version of the Bink codec used for cutscenes that the game comes with is NOT THE RIGHT ONE, and what this means is that the cutscenes have no sound at all. The game itself had a built in solution for something it doesn't even officially support, heh heh. The simple solution? Go into the game's config and turn 'Hardware Mouse' to 'on.' Apparently hardware mouse makes it so the mouse will properly be aligned to any resolutions, including non-4:3 resolutions. Problem? First time trying the new resolution, the mouse wasn't working properly as it was still acting like it was still in a 4:3 resolution. As such I have to use the third party program 'Flawless Widescreen' in order to play KOTOR 1 on a 1600×900 display. While KOTOR 2 has been updated on Steam recently with proper widescreen support (and even Steam Workshop support with Disney Interactive officially saying that people should use the Restoration Mod) due to Disney knowing how popular the game still is, KOTOR 1 however has kinda been left out. This probably applies more to PC games, but ever found yourself noticing that something in a game isn't quite working right, but the solution to get it working properly is simple?
